FasTrak offers several benefits for businesses using commercial vehicles or managing deliveries around the Bay Area. From tracking drivers’ toll crossings to conveniently viewing toll payments on monthly or quarterly statements, the information is all available online, anytime.
FasTrak for Your Business
To use FasTrak for your business, you will need to open an account and get FasTrak toll tags for your vehicles. FasTrak recommends getting a toll tag for each vehicle. FasTrak accounts can be opened with a credit card, cash, check or money order. Your account must always have a prepaid balance, and tolls will be automatically deducted from your FasTrak account when a vehicle in your fleet drives through a toll plaza or in an express lane. There are no extra fees to open or maintain a FasTrak commercial account.
Opening an Account with a Credit Card
Saving a valid credit card to your FasTrak account is the easiest way to maintain your balance. If you open an account using a valid credit card, FasTrak collects an initial $25 per toll tag for your starting prepaid balance, and we will waive the security deposit for the first three toll tags. Accounts with more than three toll tags will be charged a $5 refundable deposit for each additional toll tag over three. See automatic replenishment to see how usage affects your account balance.
Other Ways to Open a FasTrak Account
If you open an account using cash, check or money order, FasTrak collects an initial $25 per toll tag for your starting prepaid balance plus a $5 refundable security deposit for each toll tag. You are responsible for adding money to your account when the balance gets low. Cash payments are only accepted when paying in person. You can also replenish your FasTrak account at any of these Cash Payment Locations. Personal checks, money orders or cashier's checks can be used when paying by mail or in person at the FasTrak Walk-In Center.

Using Toll Tags
FasTrak recommends that each vehicle traveling across any Bay Area bridge on a regular basis have its own toll tag. However, if vehicles in your fleet only travel across toll bridges occasionally, FasTrak toll tags that mount to the windshield can easily be moved from one vehicle to another as they are mounted using Velcro® strips.
An externally-mounted (or exterior) toll tag will likely be required for vehicles with flat, vertical windshields or those with metal oxide windshields. The exterior toll tags are designed to be screw-mounted on the front bumper where the license plate is located. FasTrak also recommends an externally-mounted toll tag if there is any metal hanging over the windshield, such as a visor or storage rack.
Follow our tips for choosing and mounting your toll tags in the FasTrak Toll Tag Guide.
Note: Oversized vehicles must use specific lanes designated for oversized vehicles.
